I was invited to
a reception at the U.S. Ambassador's residence, to meet Blake
Mycoskie, founder of TOMs shoes, and one of the world's most generous
philanthropists.
We were
given a presentation of the TOMs venture, and Mycoskie explained how the
whole project came to being as well as how the journey has evolved.
In addition, the "Models Giving Back"-project
was presented, which is a campaign with fashion magazine ELLE and
models Siri Tollerød, Erjona Ala and Alexandra Ørbeck-Nilssen, where the
models get to donate funds and shoes to charity. All in all, it was
indeed a very charitable afternoon.
